Jake's Story
After years of large bulky moulded seating fitted to his electric wheelchair, Jake & His family had enough of seeing more of the chair than Jake. Motus assessor Mark and the team from SPEX seating to the rescue.
Jake has multiple medical conditions meaning a complex seated posture is inevitable, the usual route would be a large & cumbersome moulded seating system fitted to a powered wheelchair base.
Not This Time!
After meeting Jake, Motus wheelchair & seating Specialist Mark decided the best route to accommodate posture & pressure concerns was to combine the SPEX Supershape backrest, Large Bi-Axial Laterals & the Constructa Flex cushion to allow complete immersion & adjustability.
The cherry on top (or in this case underneath) is the Magic 360 All-Terrain electric wheelchair, with customisations from the extremely talented engineers at the Built-4-Me division of Sunrise Medical.
This collaboration has allowed Jake to navigate indoors & outdoors no matter the terrain in complete confidence knowing his function & posture are fully supported.
